The volume of retail sales grew by 8.2 percent in Romania in the first eleven months of last year, compared to the same period of the last year – the Romanian national statistical institute announced on Thursday. According to working day adjusted data, the increase was 7.6 percent.
The increase is mainly due to the increase of foodstuffs, drinks and tobacco sales that grew by 18.4 percent in the first eleven months of last year. The fuel sales volume increased by 6.1 percent, while the sales of non-food products by 1.8 percent.
