The new livestock law to come
It is expected that the new Animal Breeding Act will be adopted in the spring, which will enable Hungarian breeding organizations to defend their positions against their multinational competitors in the European market, but this needs to be combined – Világgazdaság Online wrote.
Since November last year, new regulations have been introduced in the European Union, according to which breeding organizations may appear and recruit members in other countries. This is an opportunity and a danger, so we need to introduce a regulation that allows Hungarian breeding organizations to retain their benefits – Zászlós Tibor, president of the Hungarian Association of Animal Breeders (MÁSZ) told Világgazdaság.
