The Primark store chain is coming to Hungary
At the beginning of the year, the Primark fashion retail chain announced its international expansion plans, including the opening of its first store in Hungary, specifically in Budapest. Since then, the company has actively been searching for Hungarian employees, even posting job advertisements on platforms like Facebook.
According to the plans, the first Primark store is set to open in Budapest’s Arena Mall, and the company has confirmed that the opening is expected soon.
Not only is the company expanding in Hungary, but it is also aiming to enter Slovakia later this year. With this move, Hungary becomes the sixth country in the Central and Eastern European region to have a Primark store, and globally, it will be the seventeenth country where Primark operates.
Presently, Primark operates a total of 416 stores in 15 countries across Europe and the United States. Their goal is to increase the number of their stores to 530 worldwide by the end of 2026.
The new Budapest store will offer the latest fashion trends and everyday essential items, following the signature Primark style and offering them at affordable prices. The store’s selection will also include a range of licensed products, such as NBA and Disney merchandise, along with Primark’s growing “Primark Cares” sub-brand that aligns with the company’s commitment to sustainable fashion at accessible prices.
