Főzdefeszt and Street Food Show in June
Hungary’s famous craft-beer festival is rolling again at June 5-7 at Budapest’s biggest and most elegant historical park – Városliget.
Hungary’s craft-beer scene has seen an incredible growth in the last few years and still gaining speed! So has Főzdefeszt that has grown from a festival attracting 10.000 visitors to a mass-celebration with 40-50.000 people twice a year. Főzdefeszt is the greatest gastronomical event of Hungary, and easily one of the biggest temporary open-air beer-gardens of the world.
Despite the huge growth, Főzdefeszt has managed to preserve its original peaceful and amiable character, without huge concerts, without spirits and binge-drinking. However Főzdefeszt is just becoming a professionally organized quality event. This is the frist time we deploy our branded glasses ruling out the ugly, inapproriate and pollutant plastic-mugs.
A must-visit if you want to know where Hungarian beer is heading, if you want to taste the several new breweries sprung up throughout the winter, or if you want to check out how your old favourites has improved or kept their qualities.
For the third time, we organize the festival together with our twin-festival, Street Food Show, the best and original street-food fare of Budapest, that has managed to pull that scene together a few years ago, just the way, Főzdefeszt did it with breweries.
We will have more then 50 beer-stands showcasing around 200 brews, and something like 30 food-vendors, that offer everything from oysters and pardons to hamburgers and pastrami.
See you at the ninth Főzdefeszt + Street Food Show in June 5-7, under the shady canopies of Városliget.
