Nestlé’s first quarter was good
Nestlé’s first-quarter sales exceeded estimates as customers bought plenty of pet food and coffee during the coronavirus epidemic – origo wrote, after CNBC.
The Swiss multinational’s groups sales grew 4.3 percent in the first quarter as consumers ordered more Purina pet food and Nescafé coffee than usual to prepare for a home due to the coronavirus epidemic.
In March, demand for pet food and frozen foods increased in the United States due to the pandemic.
In Europe, the Middle East and North Africa, Maggi pasta and plant-based foods ran out of stocks. (origo)
