The corporate acquisition market increased by 2.5 percent last year
Globally, 8166 medium-sized Merger & Acquisition (M&A) transactions were carried out last year, which is 2.5 percent more than in the previous year.
The total value of transactions was 719 billion USD, which is an increase of 5.4 percent. 19 percent of the total value was tied to private equity buyouts, 2 percent more than a year beforer. In spite of the current market uncertainties, the favorable economic environment may further increase the segment this year.
