The gift cards of Starbucks iare successful
American analyst / blogger, J.P. Koning recently blogged about how much of a funding miracle the world’s best-known coffee chain, Starbucks, is performing – 444.hu wrote.
As Koning writes, Starbucks has been trying for a while to keep regular customers from paying cash or credit cards at coffee shops, but from the company’s own rechargeable gift cards. And it did so well that, according to their latest business report, their customers have already accumulated about 1.6 billion USD amount on these cards and digital accounts on Starbucks’ own mobile application. This represents about six percent of the company’s liabilities. (444.hu, Horváth Bence)
