Good Christmas season for eBay

EBay Internet auction and trading house, had a good Christmas season. The succes of the PayPal online payment system and the sale of Skype’s telephone service provider, had a positive impact on the profits.

The last quarter ended with December brought a 1.4 billion USD profit. The e-commerce services brought a 15 percent higher revenue of 1.5 billion USD to eBay. Sixty percent of this amount have come from outside the United States. The total value of businesses on EBay's surface – without car sales – increased by 24 percent to 14.2 billion USD – reports Népszabadság Online.
