It is good to compete and it is good to win!
Krisztián Füredi, head confectioner of Hisztéria in Tápiószecső won two of the three big cake competitions this year. Rose of Beszterce was inspired by the classic dessert Gerbaud cake, while the Mont Blanc dessert was the inspiration for the Nimród cake. Mono desserts are his favourite, especially the way they are made in France. In his view the hottest trend at the moment is using different textures in the same dessert, e.g. fruit jelly with crispy layers. Mr Füredi opines many convenience products should be replaced with high quality ingredients for a better end result. //
