Good Grape harvest is expected at the Tokaj-Hegyalja wine region
The state-owned Tokaj Trading House, which is the largest wine-growing and wine-trading company in the region, expects a good harvest both in quantity and quality at the Tokaj-Hegyalja historic wine region.
The Tokaj Trading House plans to purchase 9.5-10 thousand tons of grapes and if the weather will be favorable they purchase 500-600 tons of aszú – Goreczky Gergely CEO said in Tolcsva at a press conference on Wednesday.
The company buys grapes from a more than 1,100 hectares of area, from about two thousand producers and unlike the previous years from now, at the end of summer the company discloses the purchase price, to provide certainty to the producers – the CEO added. (MTI)
