The largest fruit farmer in Békés County expects a good season, because winter frosts did not cause major frost damages in plantations – the managing director of the Hunapfel Kft. told MTI on Tuesday.
Pusztai József said that the minus 18 degrees cold affected the trees when they were sleeping, the budding had not yet started that time.
The Békés County Board of Directors of the National Association of Agricultural Economics told MTI that the smaller local fruit growers has not announced frost damage claims. (MTI)
