Danone closed a good quarter
Danone's sales in the first quarter were great worldwide. The demand from emerging markets compensated the decline in the European sales– the French multinational food group announced on Tuesday.
The company's revenue by eliminating the effects of the foreign exchange rate fluctuations and the impact of acquisitions increased by 5.6 percent to 5.34 billion euros. The group expects a more than 5 percent revenue growth for the year as a whole.
Sales increased in Asia, Latin America, the Middle East and in Africa by 13.2 percent, mainly due to the increasing demand for baby food and mineral water. (tozsdeforum.hu, MTI)
