Indicator lights for healthy nutrition
Consumer protection ministers of several German provinces demand the introduction of the light-regulation on the nutrient content of foods, using red, yellow and green colors.
According to nutrition experts; the system based on colors would be very effective warning system for customers to influence their behavior. A well-projecting red, clearly indicates that the product should not be bought for those, who try to eat healthy.
The evolving federal coalition, however, seem to resist the initiative: according to the news the coalition agreement made no commitment for the indicator light – reports Világgazdaság Online, after Spiegel Online.
