GfK’s German consumer sentiment index deteriorated significantly in April
GfK’s German consumer sentiment index deteriorated significantly in April, and since 2009, it is the lowest German consumer sentiment – according to a survey published on the Institute’s website on Thursday.
The mood index for April dropped from 7.1 points expected by analysts to 2.7 points, the lowest since May 2009, from 8.3 points last month.
In the light of the survey results, GfK withdrew its forecast for retail consumption growth of one percent this year. (MTI)
