Hungarian-Dutch export market grew significantly

Of course, the European Union’s internal market is absolutely decisive, accounting for 82.4 percent of agricultural foreign trade exports and 91.8 percent of import value in the first three months of 2025. The value of products exported by EU member states decreased by 3.3 percent, the value of imports increased by 2.5 percent, and the balance of EUR 596.6 million fell by 20.7 percent compared to the base period.
Among the most important export and import partners, the largest agricultural foreign trade turnover was with Germany in the first quarter of 2025.
Other important partners, in descending order of agricultural export value, were the following countries: Italy, Romania, Austria, Poland, the Netherlands, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Croatia and Great Britain. The share of the listed countries exceeded 70 percent of total agricultural exports, and the share of the first five largest export markets was 49.4 percent. The value of exports to the mentioned countries increased in five cases and decreased in five cases, with Italian and German exports being 9.6 and 22.5 percent less, respectively. Of the ten most important export partners, exports to the Netherlands increased the most (+63.4 percent) in the first three months of 2025 compared to the same period of the previous year.
