The vocational training system has been significantly renewed, catering and tourism are performing well
The vocational training system has been renewed in its content, methodology and structure – the deputy state secretary responsible for vocational training of the Ministry of Culture and Innovation said.

In the first years, students do not learn a profession, but sectoral competences
The deputy state secretary said that with the transformation, vocational training was enriched with new, exciting content; the so-called project education started, which means that the students are given a task and usually have to prepare an object or carry out a project – he detailed.
He reminded: every student in vocational training receives a stipend of HUF 16,000, while in the technical school it is HUF 8,000 for two years. The condition of the scholarship is that the student does not miss classes and does not fail any subject, he added.
It was said in the program that in the first years, the students do not learn a profession, but sectoral competences, as part of which they can get to know the job roles.
The deputy state secretary also said on the M1 current affairs channel that there are vocational training schools where there is a tenfold over-subscription; there were about 180 institutions where they could not admit all the applicants.
