Consumer confidence improved significantly in the United States in July
The Conference Board nonprofit economic research institute announced on Tuesday that its consumer confidence index increased to 135.7 points from the 124.3 points of June.
Analysts expected a slight improvement of 125.0 points.
The current situation sentiment indicator increased from the 164.3 points of June to 170.9 points. For the next six months, the expectation sub-index increased from 97.6 points to 112.2 points in July. (MTI)
