SPAR’s big drop in plastic use
Approximately 13.5 tonnes less plastic will be used in the Regnum meat processing plant for tray-packaged products in 2022. Thanks to using new packaging technology, SPAR’s new meat trays for about 50 products – including fresh meat, minced meat and grill products – are much thinner. Plan is that in the future plastic use will reduce with products in protective atmosphere packaging, too.
