The chain of stores are preparing for significant wage increases
Wage negotiations are taking place smoothly this year at the a large international supermarket chains – Világgazdaság Online wrote.
In order to keep the workers, the companies were forced to increase wages well above the national average. Lidl, for example raised the wages of its manual workers with a total of 20 percent in two stages in 2016. Tesco spent 3.5 billion HUF on wage increase last year, which meant an average of 11 percent wage increase for 14 thousand non-managerial employees. Auchan has increased the wages of its employees with an average of 10 percent in 2016, which – unusually – already entered into force in October 2015. (Világgazdaság Online)
