The sugar beet growers received significant supports in 2014

The sugar beet growers were given substantial grants in the past year. The Agricultural and Rural Development Authority (MVH) paid 13.7 billion HUF support for them in 2014 – the MVH told MTI on Tuesday..

According to the information on the basis of the separate sugar support title connecting to the area based support, the farmers were given a record high 11.7 billion forints support last year. The support could be used by 982 beneficiaries. The ministry wanted to help the farmers' to impove their competitiveness. (MTI)
