Good export opportunities in Iran
On 7 February 2017 the Hungarian National Trading House (MNKH) organised a Hungary-Iran Business Forum in Budapest. There were almost 60 Hungarian and Iranian companies present. In 2015 the value of bilateral trading with Iran was nearly EUR 30 million. According to the World Bank, Iran’s GDP will grow by 5 percent in 2017 and 2018.
MNKH CEO Zsanett Oláh told: now that international trade restrictions have been eased, in the next few years Iran will return to the world’s economic life and this creates an excellent opportunity for Hungarian businesses to enter the Iranian market. MNKH opened a trading house in Teheran in January 2017. The new trading house not only surveys local market demand and gathers information on business opportunities, but can also open the door for Hungarian companies to the markets of the Middle East and Central Asia.
