In recent months, the role of the Hungarian food industry has increased in the emergency situation, and it is in the interest of national security that food supply to be typically implemented from Hungarian sources – Minister of Agriculture Nagy István said in Veszprém after visiting Unilever’s ice cream factory.

The Minister stressed that this also presupposes the development of the food industry. That is why the food industry support program was developed, for which the government allocated 8 billion HUF.

Sustainability, environmental awareness and the modernization of food production, which is implemented in strategic partnerships with large companies, are among the most important objectives of the Ministry of Agriculture – Nagy István said. (MTI)
