Improved business and consumer sentiment in the euro area
On the basis of the detailed datas; the business and consumer sentiment improved for the first time in the euro area, since the beginning of 2011.
The European Commission’s Monday published a comprehensive sentiment index (ESI) was 93.4 points, compared to the revised 92.8 points of December.
Analysts expected 93.6 points in January. The first report did not include that the December data was revised and reduced to 92.8 points.
Although the consumer sentiment index is still in the negative range, improved to minus 20.7 points improved – for the first time since June last year – from minus 21.3 points of December – reports MTI.
