Improved consumer sentiment in Europe
Consumer sentiment improved as expected both in the euro zone and in the European Union – according to the preliminary September survey of the European Commission’s economic and financial directorate.
In the euro area the consumer confidence index increased by 0.3 points to minus 8.2 points in September compared to August.
In the 28 Member States of the European Union improvement was nearly one an a half-points; This indicator rose to minus 6.4 points. (MTI)
