Improved economy, declining international confidence
According to the forecast of GKI Economic Research Co. in cooperation with Erste Bank; this year’s economic growth of Hungary will be around 1 percent.
The Hungarian economy, after the first quarter’s 0.1 percent improvement, grew by 1 percent in the second quarter, compared to the same period of the previous year. This is significantly below the EU average, which is the consequence of the fact that, while Hungarian exports benefited quite well in Europe and especially in Germany, due to the climate improvement in Europe, the domestic market still continued to decline.
