Bicycle tourism is improving in Hungary
Compared to the previous year, 20% more people, nearly 1.35 million, used the bicycle transport options on Hungarian railways. The new tariff system, which was introduced on March 1, brought significant changes for those traveling by bicycle. The most important innovations include the introduction of the fixed-price bicycle ticket and the Bicycle Country Pass.
The fixed-price bicycle ticket allows bicycles to be transported for a single 24-hour one-way trip for a flat fee of HUF 500. An exception is the TramTrain between Szeged and Hódmezővásárhely, where the one-way zone ticket remains valid. The National Bicycle Pass costs HUF 4,950 and is valid for 30 days.
