The Századvég Economic Researcher has improved its growth forecast
Epidemiological restrictions imposed due to the spread of the coronavirus have caused a milder-than-expected decline in the economy, so its restart may be faster.
In the light of this, the Századvég Economic Researcher expects that the growth rate of gross domestic product (GDP) may develop more favorably than previously estimated, approaching 6 percent compared to the 4.0 percent forecast in March.
The economy could expand dynamically next year, by as much as 5 percent, which is essentially the same as the 5.1 percent indicated in the previous forecast. (MTI)
