This year the biggest new feature of the trade show was the Ice Cream Arena – Gelato Square, promoting artisan ice cream. Within the framework of Ice Cream Adventure, students from six different vocational schools across the country, led by professional pastry and ice cream chefs, competed against each other. Both masters and vocational school teachers received the competition positively.

Members of the Hungarian team that won the bronze medal at the Gelato World Cup 2024 in Rimini evaluated the competition entries. Three teams were working simultaneously, who had 100 minutes to prepare two different ice creams from two ingredients drawn from the Mystery Box. Master confectioner Balázs Damniczki told after the competition: the atmosphere was fantastic, as it was a completely different experience to compete in front of an audience than to prepare ice cream at home – the students have never been to a competition before.
