Most old companies operate in Japan
Japan is a truly a two-faced country, because it is highly developed technologically, on the one hand, and at the same time, its citizens respect the traditions of their ancestors, the country’s ancient culture and traditions. That’s why it’s possible that there are still 33,000 businesses in Japan that are at least a hundred years old – origo wrote.
One of the celebrities of Japan’s past is Tsuen Tea, founded in 1160, which is now the oldest operating tea house in the world. In addition to the 900-year-old tea house, however, there are many businesses in the country that have survived for generations. According to a Bank of Korea survey, there are 5,586 companies worldwide over two hundred years old, and 56 percent of them are based in Japan. (MTI)
