Czech retail started the year well
Retail sales in the Czech Republic increased by 4.7 percent in January, compared to a year before, after the 3.1 percent in December – the Czech Statistical Office announced in Prague.
Compared to the previous month, retail sales growth in January was 0.5 percent.
Internet store sales increased by 18.6 percent, but spending on culture, sports and leisure activities was unusually high, with an increase of 23 percent. (MTI, Kokes János)
