German industrial orders decreased by 2.7 percent in January
German industrial orders decreased by 2.7 percent in January, calendary and seasonally adjusted, after the 1.6 percent increase of December – the German economy ministry announced on Wednesday. Analysts expected a 0.6 percent increase.
The ministry modified the December data from the preliminary 1.7 percent increase to a 1.6 percent growth.
In a two-month comparison, the orders received in December-January fell by 2.3 percent compared to the October-November period. Foreign orders decreased by 2.7 percent, domestic orders fell by 1.9 percent. (MTI)
