Museum becoming exciting
The Hungarian Museum of Commerce and Catering which relocated to a new address in September 2006, seems to be successful in fulfilling its cultural mission. Although it is a specialised museum, the subject is so diverse which allows a lot of room for creativity. Apart from more conventional topics, exhibitions have been devoted to advertising posters, the history of ice cream, or design in gastronomy. They have recently opened their study collection, and the “Celebration of Champagne” exhibition about the 125 year old history of Törley champagne is to stay open till March 2008, which is to be followed by the “Renaissance Food, Renaissance of Food” exhibition.
