Here is GVH’s educational video for traders on correct price display
The Economic Competition Authority (GVH) supports traders with an educational video in the legal practice of displaying prices and holding promotions so that Hungarians can more easily consider the promised discounts. The GVH’s video is closely related to the campaign that the agency launched on its social media site during this year’s Black Friday promotions.
Since May 28, 2022, all domestic retailers must display prices according to clearer rules, so that consumers can make informed decisions about special offers. Following the legislative changes, the national competition authority examined in the framework of a comprehensive rapid analysis (so-called sweep) the steps taken by the actors of a sector with frequent price reductions and coupon promotions – the domestic webshops selling clothing products – which were selected as a sample to provide adequate information to consumers.
