ITM: food price stop – Most stores abides the food price stop without error
Only 85 cases have been challenged by consumer protection professionals who have been investigating food price compliance since 1 February, the Ministry of Innovation and Technology (ITM) told MTI on Tuesday.
The vast majority of the 977 traditional stores and webshops met the standards in all respects, offering the affected products at a reduced price, and keeping sufficient stock in stock. Twenty-four of the proceedings initiated against defaulters have so far been closed with the imposition of fines totaling more than 4.5 million HUF. (MTI)
