Beverage category, gold medal: Great Soproni NumberShow

“Great Soproni NumberShow” promotion activity by Heineken Hungária Sörgyárak Zrt. won in the beverage category. Gergely Tóth, Soproni’s brand manager recalled the events of the 2008 campaign. From 1 June to 30 September, great prizes were offered to winners. The winning numbers and the connected prizes could be found in beer caps, on stay tabs and on coupons at HORECA units. Each week, one type of prize was paired with one number. Total value of prizes was HUF 50 million, including a car, an LCD television and trip for 4 to the Olympic Games in Beijing. An intensive media and POS campaign informed consumers about the promotion campaign. Soproni managed to grow in volume sales, despite promotional campaigns by competitors.
