A beverage packaging collection system has been developed by industry players

A strategic and regulatory concept has been developed for the collection of beverage packaging by domestic industry players. According to their statement sent to MTI on Monday, they would like to support the work of government decision-makers with the professional proposal.

They also propose to set up a joint working group with the government to develop the modalities.

The announcement recalls that the Hungarian government announced its climate and nature protection action plan in 2020, in the framework of which it was announced that a redemption system for beverage packaging would be introduced in Hungary as well. (MTI)
