Consumer trust index keeps deteroriating
Nearly two-thirds of those being asked are convinced that Hungarian job-possibilities are not satisfactory – a survey by Nielsen about consumer-trust.
Six people out of ten, at the age of 18-59 say that expectations on the Hungarian job-market are „bad”. Every second person believes that their own financial situation is „bad”. General mood seem to have deteroriated in March as compared to the previous month. Less than 12 percent found the given time-interval suitable for obtaining necessary and desired products in February, and according to the survey carried out in March, this number is only 9 percent now. The number of people believing that their own financial condition is „bad” rose from 40 to 51 percent this month, and the outlook on working possibilities is also being judged as „bad” by 63 percent. Since consumer trust index is being calculated on the basis of these three aspects, Nielsen's consumer trust index in March has fallen fom 45 to 37. It is interesting to note that the consumer trust index in 2005 was still 90 (the scale goes from 0 to 200).
