Lamb Days – Gastronomic Adventure is coming again on March 28–29!
Lamb Days will be held again on March 28–29, during which restaurants across the country will welcome guests with unique, special dishes created for the occasion. The program series, which includes tastings and other accompanying events, aims to showcase the versatility of lamb, its modern culinary uses, and its sustainable origins through inspiring, creative dishes.
A weekend when everything is about lamb
Lamb Days has now become a traditional and successful national gastronomic program, creating an excellent opportunity for anyone to taste lamb, including those who have not yet given this versatile ingredient a chance. Restaurants joining the initiative will be serving special lamb dishes this weekend, and some shopping malls will also offer tastings where visitors can try various lamb delicacies. Last year, 37 restaurants participated in the Lamb Days in 11 counties and Budapest, and guests spent around 50 million forints on lamb dishes during the program.
Sustainable Choice from Europe
The initiative is implemented in cooperation with the Interprofessional Organization for the Sheep and Goat Sector and its Spanish partner organization, Interovic. The consortium has received EU funding for the period 2025–2027 to promote and reposition the consumption of sheep and goat meat.
The aim of the program is to bring high-quality, European sheep meat closer to consumers and to appeal to younger generations who are open to conscious, quality ingredients. One of the important messages of the campaign is that lamb is not only a seasonal or festive ingredient, but can also be incorporated into everyday meals in a variety of ways.
Versatile ingredient, modern approach
The aim of Lamb Days is to show that lamb both preserves traditions and offers space for creative, modern culinary solutions. Participating restaurants can prove with new techniques, fresh flavor pairings and clean presentation that this ingredient is an exciting player in contemporary gastronomy.
In addition to its unique flavor, lamb is also a valuable source of protein and is rich in vitamins and minerals, making it both an enjoyable and conscious choice.
Attention restaurants!
There is still time to join this year’s Lamb Days! The participating restaurants undertake to offer their guests a lamb dish on March 28–29, and the first 45 participants will receive a premium, approx. 5 kg lamb package to expand their creative offering. The organizers support the participants with national communication, social media presence and promotional materials.
