Wine battle in Rioja again
A wine battle was fought in the northern Spanish La Rioja wine region in three municipalities. The wine battle is held for more than seventy years ago at the end of every June.
This year, about 7,500 people armed themselves up with water guns and sprays filled with the world-famous Rioja red wine to shoot each other with red wine for an hour. 75 thousand liters of wine was consumed, painted the clothes of the “warriors” into purple. (MTI)
