Destination: Lyon!
Gábor Molnár finished 9th in the European Final of chef competition Bocuse d’Or and qualified for the Lyon final of the unofficial world championship. Gábor Molnár works as junior sous chef at Geisel’s Vinothek in Munich. In Stockholm 10-10 competitors were proving their skills on two consecutive days. Mr Molnár did especially well in the light of the fact that just two weeks before the final he had to change his meat dish, so he didn’t have enough time to practice making it. The Swedish chef won the European final, the Danish competitor was the runner-up and Norway finished third. Gábor Molnár’s preparation was sponsored by the Hungarian government, Metro and Hungexpo Zrt. There was another great Hungarian success in Stockholm: it was announced that Budapest would be the host of the Bocuse d’Or European final in 2016.
