Ipsos: Public perception of the world economy in the light of national performance rating
The examination of Ipsos market research covered 24 countries and based on the public classification of the national economies.
Keep in mind that Japan which was the world’s third strongest economy after the United States and China, was consistently ranked to the bottom third of the countries on the basis of classification of the public. Already prior to the earthquake, Japan’s economic sentiment index stood on only 8 percent (the proportion of those who consider their country's status as good) slightly ahead of Spain (6 percent) and Hungary (5 percent) and slightly behind France (10 percent).
The overall confidence index of the examined 24 countries increased by 1 percentage point to 41 percent, so virtually did not change since 2010.
