InternetKon: building out free wifi and VAT rate cut was proposed to the government
On the basis of the national consultations on the Internet (InternetKon), the Internet users proposed the reducing of VAT on Internet to 18 percent and free wi-fi service at all Hungarian settlements.
Deutsch Tamás Ministerial Commissioner responsible for the consultation said – on Friday in Budapest at the closing day of the InternetKon professional conference – that during the consultation, the citizens have made it clear that the Internet should be secure, accessible and affordable for everyone in Hungary. It should have a greater role in education, and the government should do as much as possible to improve the digital economy and the development of public administration . The Hungarian citizens stood up for the equality in the market and beside online neutrality – he added. (MTI)
