International actions by NAV
The National Tax and Customs Administration (NAV) regularly requests information from foreign authorities, in order to be able to catch those foreigners who commit VAT fraud in Hungary. Csilla Tamásné Czinege, deputy state secretary of the Ministry for National economy told: in the last two years NAV made about 650 such requests, in most cases asking for information from other EU member states.
