Invitel: intensive network development
The telecom company keeps expanding its network. Invitel started its HUF 4.5-billion development programme in 2012, the goal of which is to reach as many private and corporate subscribers with high quality fibre-optic and microwave networks as possible. At a Budapest press conference on the topic, CEO David McGowan told that 70 percent of customers also subscribe to television and landline phone services. He added that Invitel tripled its ICT activity in the last three years and profits grew by 50 percent in the segment. Currently Invitel services reach 3 million people in 1.1 million homes.
