Innovative developments in agricultural vocational training
The goal of the smart classroom program launched in the sectoral training centers is to provide a modern, interactive learning environment for students participating in dual education. That is why today is another milestone in agricultural vocational training and the preparation of future agricultural professionals – stated Márton Nobilis, the state secretary responsible for the food industry and agricultural vocational training, at the handover ceremony of the smart classroom of the Szombathely Food Industry and Land Surveying Technical School, Vocational Training School and College of the Kisaföldi ASzC.
The state secretary explained that in recent years, the government has paid considerable attention to the transformation and modernization of vocational training, so that the professionals of the future have not only theoretical but also practical knowledge. He added that the agricultural sector is vital for the country’s economic development, which is why we have created a training system that is based on innovation and sustainability.
Márton Nobilis said that the creation of the smart classroom is an exemplary investment
With the most modern technology and information communication devices – including an 86″ interactive whiteboard with a touch display, 30 laptops, 30 tablets, 1 document camera, and 28 variable student tables and chairs – it ensures that students receive the highest quality education. Classrooms equipped with modern digital devices play a particularly important role in learning English and German, which makes our young people competitive on the international market.
These innovations allow students to be more effectively prepared for the labor market
The state secretary highlighted that the priority goal of the developments is to make agricultural vocational training attractive and competitive, which can attract young people to the fields of agriculture, forestry and the food industry. The establishment of the system of sectoral training centers created an opportunity for small and medium-sized enterprises to participate directly in the training, thus ensuring the quality education of future agricultural professionals. Today, more than 500 students have signed vocational training work contracts at the Kisaföldi Sectoral Training Center, and this number is constantly increasing. The aim of the government is to create a modern, flexible agricultural vocational training system that is adapted to the needs of the labor market and operates in close cooperation with business organizations. In this way, we ensure that students get to know the latest technologies and enter the labor market prepared. I am confident that this new smart classroom will contribute to the fact that even more talented young people choose agricultural vocational training and that the Kisaföldi Agricultural Training Center will continue to play a decisive role in the training of agricultural professionals – added Márton Nobilis.
