IT revolution in retail
Currently one of the busiest branch of IT is the retail trade, where there is a constant need for business motivating solutions.
Beside the developments within the retail space, such as touch screen cash registers and digital shelf labels, the large-scale back-office systems are also following the new trends. However, it is concluded that 80 percent of the domestic trading companies still carrying out a number of work phases – including the supplier's ordering, billing – on paper, only one fifth of Hungarian companies use electronic document management solutions. In Western Europe this figure is threefold – said Végh Ferenc, managing director of ProgAdat Ltd. – reports Világgazdaság Online.
