The renewed summer seasonal food chain control is starting
The national seasonal food chain inspection will begin on June 16. Dr. ordering the summer muster. Márton Nobilis, the state secretary responsible for the food industry and trade policy, pointed out that target control has been fundamentally renewed, and more focused attention than before will be directed to a significant field of expertise and a popular product range.
From June 16 to August 11, the 2023 summer seasonal food chain inspection will be conducted by dr. It was ordered by Márton Nobilis, the Secretary of State responsible for the food industry and trade policy of the Ministry of Agriculture. Coordinated by the National Food Chain Safety Office (Nébih), the narrow two-month muster inspections are carried out by county government offices, district offices, and Nébih specialists. In connection with the summer goal check, dr. Márton Nobilis pointed out: according to this year’s fundamentally renewed concept, more concentrated attention will be directed to each significant area and popular product range, so that both the authority and the population can get a more accurate picture of the current situation. The thematic schedule enables regular information, and at the same time, all those involved will have the opportunity to correct typical errors discovered in the target areas in a timely manner.
In addition to summer camps, street food, and the “Fröccsutcák” around Lake Balaton, the target areas also include, for example, eco-farmers and summer equestrian camps
In terms of products, ice cream, melons, grilled meat, and sparkling wines will be tested in Nébih’s laboratories, but grill trays, degradable bags and veterinary products will also be “put under the microscope”, explained the state secretary. It is also a novelty that festival-goers can get an idea of the food safety situation of several important festivals in the form of a quick report with the help of regional experts.
The inspection phase of the summer muster ends on August 11. The food chain supervisory authority will regularly report on the results and experiences on its website and social media platforms.
