Lidl to sell mobile subscriptions
Discount hypermarket chain Lidl will start selling mobile-phone subscriptions in the first quarter, news website hwsw.hu reports.
Industry sources speaking on condition of anonymity said Lidl will not become a virtual mobile service operator but will act as a sales agent for Magyar Telekom.
Lidl will sell a special subscription product designed for Lidl customers.
Lidl would not comment on the report.
In Germany the chain uses the name Lidl Mobile for its service, provided in conjunction with Telefonica.
