Domestic watermelon about to start at Lidl!
Lidl’Hungary warehouses will take over high-quality seed watermelons from Hungarian suppliers only from today, which will kick off the hungarian melon season. The aim of the supermarket chain is to strengthen the market position of hungarian melons and to support Hungarian producers, in addition to maximally serving domestic needs. In the 2020 season, the supermarket chain sold nearly 12,000 tonnes of Hungarian watermelons at home and abroad in total, thus contributing to the competitiveness of the Hungarian economy.
