The joint, free bartender training of Coca-Cola HBC Hungary and the Bacardi Mojito Mixer School is starting
Today, one of the most serious challenges of the Hungarian hospitality industry is the lack of available skilled labor. Since the beginning of the pandemic, Coca-Cola HBC Hungary has been looking for opportunities to help the hospitality industry, which has been hit by the economic crisis caused by the coronavirus and now also by the war. In cooperation with the Bacardi Mojito Mixer School, the company already provided 100 selected candidates with a free basic mixer course last year. From October this year, another 100 lucky applicants can start their studies, the costs of which are financed by the country’s largest soft drink manufacturer and one of the most famous mixer schools.

During the coronavirus pandemic, the closure of catering facilities put both the workers there and the owners of the individual restaurants and cafes in a difficult situation: during the restrictions, consumption practically stopped for about three quarters of Coca-Cola HBC Hungary’s HoReCa customer partners. The company felt obliged to help one of the hardest hit industries from an economic point of view: the hospitality industry – as the negative effects on the sector will be felt for years to come. In the last more than two years, many people have left the field, and catering units that have recently reopened are now struggling with new problems due to increased costs and runaway inflation, in addition to a lack of professionals. In the current situation, Coca-Cola HBC Hungary provides professional assistance in cooperation with the Bacardi Mojito Mixer School, within the framework of which, last year, they jointly financed the training of bartenders for 100 lucky applicants.
